Job Description
As a Swim Instructor at Tri-city Channel Cats, you will lead swimming programs and provide customized individual and group lessons for children of different ages and skill levels. This opportunity is perfect for students who are passionate about swimming, possess strong communication skills, and have a natural ability to motivate young swimmers and foster a love and respect for the water. We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team at Tri-city Channel Cats in Pasco, WA.
Responsibilities
• Provide swim instruction to students of all ages and skill levels
• Ensure a safe and positive learning environment for all students
• Monitor and assess student progress, offering feedback and guidance as necessary
Requirements
• Experience working with students of all ages and abilities, particularly in an educational or instructional setting
• Strong swimming skills and knowledge of various swim strokes and techniques
• Comprehensive understanding of water safety and survival skills
• CPR & First Aid Certified (infant, child & adult)
• Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and creative teaching skills
• Effective behavior management skills, capable of handling challenging situations calmly and professionally
• Experience in childcare or sports coaching is advantageous, demonstrating an ability to work with children in a structured environment
• A genuine love and passion for swimming and working with children
